Horse Racing International celebrated its biggest success in Singapore when talented four year old Phenom stormed home to win the Group One $500,000 Patrons' Bowl over 1400m at the Singapore racecourse.

Purchased as an unraced 3yo from Australia, Horse Racing International secured the sale after Phenom scored an easy trial win in Perth "I watched him trial and liked his action. He was big and strong and had plenty of depth in his pedigree. His sire Dr Johnson was only new and just starting to produce winners so I thought he was worth buying" said Manager of HRI Steve Levar.

Phenom was sold to the Hydrocarbon stable and given to promising trainer Desmond Koh who has taken his time and allowed the horse to develop into now a group one winner.

The win of Phenom brought up the second cup win for Koh and Hydrocarbon who celebrated thier first Singapore cup win with another horse sold by Horse Racing Intl named Safety Outlet who won the Stewards Trophy as a three year old.
